Zestoa is 40 km from Donostia / San Sebastian, 80 km of Bilbo / Bilbao and Vitoria / Gasteiz. Bayonne, the capital of the French Basque Country, is 90 km and Iruña / Pamplona 105 km. All these capitals are worth visiting for its beauty, historical heritage and commercial and tourist environment. But around them we find places full of serenity and charm that demonstrate the diversity of the landscapes that properly you the Euskal Herria.

THE COAST

Zestoa is 8 km from Zumaia, on the coast. Zumaia are close to the towns of Getaria, Deba and Mutriku. These locations, known for its beaches and seaside atmosphere, presented in its coast a peculiar geological formation known as Flysch. Bizkaia towards Lekeitio find the picturesque and breathtaking estuary Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. All within an hour's drive.

Countless walks and trips that can be made in the mountains, towns and villages of Gipuzkoa. There is a wide network of marked different difficulty levels so as to achieve the modest elevations of the province trails: Aitzkorri (1523 m), Ernio (1078 m) or immediate Izarraitz (1030 m) to give a few examples.

In summer, many seaside towns offer dozens of restaurants to eat fish and enjoy the popular txakoli white wine from native grapes. Throughout the year the capital and towns offer gastronomic events, fairs and markets where you can taste the best food on earth.

 

In culture, the flagship of the Basque modernity is represented by the international museum Guggenheim Bilbao. However, all the capital and many other towns offer a complete cultural program throughout the year and a rich set of museum facilities.
